Our Approach to Education

We create educational experiences that facilitate connections - that’s our goal with every class and training we do.

How do we actually do it?

We step out-of-the-box.

Important note: The following information was our approach before COVID-19. We continue to carry on with some of these approaches, but we have moved all our classes and training online for the safety of everyone in the community.

Yes, literally, we used to step out of the boxed classrooms and into the great outdoors, a way more inspiring learning environment.  Our classes and workshops were taught in public parks, museums, theaters, the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, business locations, and anywhere but a boxed room.

Although we’re teaching about the digital world, the ultimate goal of digital marketing is to connect with people, so we want to keep that connection alive.

At Women Who Market, we choose to explore, connect, and enjoy the world, and the people in it, while we learn.

We keep it simple.

We keep the classes short, sweet, and to the point, and of course, we have some fun too.

Let’s face it, our attention span is getting shorter and shorter by the second. For some it is even hard to pay attention to a friend's conversation, so can you imagine the difficulty to pay attention to a 4-hour class? Our classes, training sessions, and workshops are max 60 minutes long.

Since we are all about connections, we are personal and know everyone by name. We aim to teach personalized classes even in a group setting. We carefully select what information will be taught depending on the crowd attending.

We apply experiential learning.

We know that when students work on hands-on real-life projects, not hypothetical exercises in class, they are more engaged, and therefore, they learn the material faster.

We are a big fan of internships where the students are given full range responsibility to execute projects. Now, we know students may not have too much experience, so we work with the employer and student to ensure everyone is on the same page and provide coaching when necessary through out the internship duration.

Internships are a win-win for everyone. It allows students to build their portfolio, and it helps employers who don’t have the time and resources to execute digital marketing project internally by getting their projects professionally completed.

We provide variety.

In Spanish there is a saying: en la variedad esta el placer (there is joy in variety) which also applies to learning. We are all different; therefore, we all like different things.

We want to provide our students a variety of teachers, topics, and experiences. We see our classes as stage zero on our students’ journey to becoming a digital marketing expert.

We cover the basics, clarify doubts, and excite students about the endless opportunities this industry offers so that they can make informed decisions to where to go next. If their decision is to continue their education, we want to support them all through out their process.
